The Angkatan Sasterawan '50 (Asas '50) Publications Bureau, spearheaded by Mr Mohd Pitchay Gani BMAA and closely assisted by Mr Muhd Irwan Jamal, has been a vital component in the association's thrust towards becoming a dynamic literary institution in Singapore. Committed to producing works of high calibre, the bureau has always put quality as a top priority in its work ethos. As a result, the past 5 years have witnessed the release of landmark and even award-winning works.

Books aside, the bureau also piloted its newsletter project, Berita@Asas '50 in 2006. After 5 metamorphizing issues, the newsletter will embark on its own paradigm shift as the bureau will experiment with its literary education magazine project in 2008. Aptly named IDEA, the magazine will be led by editor-in-chief, Muhd Irwan Jamal, designers Norazian Md Yahya and Nur Shahidah Hafizza as well as its team of writers like Muhd Herwanto and Fauzani Azima . IDEA will be a quarterly literary fix as its writers will cover literary activities, share literary notes and works with students, teachers and readers with a keen affinity and passion for Malay literature.

The Angkatan Sasterawan '50 publications bureau would also like to thank our partners, namely, the National Arts Council (NAC), the National Library Board (NLB), Jamiyah, Andalus and many more for their undying support for the Malay literary arts in Singapore.
