Angkatan Sasterawan '50 efforts in the inculcation of better understanding Literary Arts through public awareness received a boost when the organization was granted a donation cheque from the President of the Republic of Singapore, his Excellency Mr S R Nathan, in conjunction with the President Charity Gold Cup Race 2007. the cheque was presented to Mr Mohamed Pitchay Gani bin Mohamed Abdul Aziz, Deputy President Asas '50 on behalf of the organization. Asas '50 would also like to thank the National Arts Council (NAC) for its continuous support.
